Aesthetics of Manufacture was a collaborative work created for Sheffield Festival of Making at The Butcher Works.
The project makes and remakes museum objects exposing the manufacturing processes and critiquing how the production use, reception, loss, collection and later use of both the replica and museum and object can contribute to our knowledge and understanding of historical times.
By situating contemporary manufactured objects within the realm of the museum there is space to explore the authority, authenticity, positionality and representation of the museum and the museum object
